What Is Varicosity?
Varicosity or varicose venis is one of venous bloodstream aberration – Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI) – symptom. Nowadays 60% of adult population of the world has the CVI signs. That is why CVI is also called «decease of civilization».
For the CVI development the following risk factors are required:
genetic burden;
pregnancy, repeated especially;
long standing on one place;
long sitting in one pose, including «cross-legged» position;
lifting and bringing of weights;
age over 40;
overheating (sun, solarium, sauna);
extremity traumas;
sedentary life;
excessive weight. Body weight increase over 27kg/sm2 raises CVI development risk for 33%;
Consume of high processing level products. Decreased dietary fiber level in one's diet (raw fruits and vegetables) needed for vein wall restore;
Chronic constipations, which lead to intra-abdominal pressure increase;
Hormonotherapy. Use of hormonal contraceptive drugs.
